Lip Manegio is a writer, designer, printmaker, and dyke from New England. His poetry has appeared in Glass: A Journal of Poetry, Puerto del Sol, Muzzle Magazine, Tin House, among others. His chapbook, We've All Seen Helena (Game Over Books, 2019), was featured in the Strategist (NY Magazine) article "5 Things Poet Hanif Abdurraqib Can't Live Without". He has also been nominated for the Best of the Net and Pushcart prizes, named a runner up for the Academy of American Poets prize, and holds a BFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College where he was awarded High Disctinction and Disctinction in critical writing and poetry, respectively. In the past, he has worked as a collaborator with the Emerson Poetry Project, Mass Poetry, the Boston Poetry Slam, Working Title, FEMS, and others. Most recently, he has served as editor in chief of the independent publisher Ginger Bug Press, which was a runner up for the Boston Grassroots Publishing Grant in 2021, and as guest judge for the 2024 Penrose Poetry Prize for Deathrattle Literary. He is available for design and editing work on a freelance basis.
